In 2010, I signed up for a “Health Empowerment Course” offered by my dear Yoga Teacher, Sally Clinton. That course was a catalyst for bringing me to where I currently am today. As the course unfolded, I was introduced to Ayurveda (pronounced “Aye-ur-vay-da”). Ayurveda is an ancient medical model originating from India, and often referred to as a “sister-science” to yoga as both modalities are based in the knowledge that optimal health is obtained when the body, mind, and spirit are united and in balance. Yoga is a part of Ayurveda as it offers a rich history of physical, mental, and spiritual practices that aid in bringing the practitioner to a balanced state, or Sattva.
Embodied is a journey exploring the many layers of Ayurveda and is designed to reunite you with your own Inner Wisdom, a remembering of your own inner Radiance!
Through diet and lifestyle practices designed to support each individual in their own unique constitution, Ayurveda is a holistic approach to overall wellbeing. Many factors are taken into consideration for overall health, including climate, time of day, family history, career, current and past health, and more!
This course will delve into:
Ayurveda 101: The Basics of Ayurveda
Dinacharia: Daily Practices for Balance
Ritucharia: Seasonal Practices for Balance
Ayurvedic-based Yoga
Pranayama: Breathwork
Dhyana: Meditation
Ahara: Diet/Food
and so much more!
You will be challenged to shift unhealthy beliefs and behaviors with consistency, time, and the Grace of Ayurveda. This journey is designed to encourage the participant to Embody their own unique authenticity, to live in the “flow” that is present within each of us. I designed this course from my own recognition of understanding when I live in my “flow,” I feel my best. I am excited to share with you Ayurvedic tools and skills for knowing when we are in this “flow” and to recognize when we are not, so that we can live with more Peace during difficult times. Truly this journey is a remembrance of our connection to Nature.
With this alignment to Nature and our own Inner Wisdom, we can navigate Life in an authentic way with more Joy and fullness of being!!
