November happens to be a favorite month of mine, for so many reasons! This is the month that we tend to drop into remembering what we are Grateful or Thankful for. It’s lovely that we have a Holiday that does remind us to reflect on what we are Thankful for! We also know that a daily practice of Gratitude is also a year-round practice. So, do take time to reflect upon what you are sincerely grateful for in your current life.

Every year, I love to express my gratitude to all of you for your interest and support of my work here at Idylwild. This year is no exception! Here’s something you may not know about me….. November is my Birthday month!!!! Since a child, I have always loved this month. Not only did the previous month end with Halloween, which was one of the few opportunities in my childhood to have a few pieces of candy, it also marked the start of the Holiday season for me! (My Mom was pretty strict about sugar in our household…. one thing that I am grateful for, as it imprinted in me at an early age how important healthy food choices were!)

November brings my Birthday, Thanksgiving, while December brings Winter Solstice, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Years! All Holidays that I so looked forward to as a child, and even now as an adult. I must admit that as a child, there seemed to be months between each “holiday” and now as an adult, there seems to be only a few days, am I right????!

This all equates to our need to stay on top of our Self-care practices!!! I have some very special offerings for all of you, starting this Saturday, November 4th!!! I have details below on each Special offering for all of you. So, go ahead and book that Yoga class, Massage, and/or Ayurvedic consultation!

YOGA!!

Oh my gosh, I am so excited about Yoga this month!!

To start: It’s MY BIRTHDAY MONTH!!!!! In light of this, I have TWO great offerings this month for you!!

On Saturday, November 4th, I will be celebrating my 51st Birthday! I am ALSO teaching yoga at 7am at Perfect Fit Health and Fitness Studio here in Scarborough. For the November 4th class, I am really excited to share with you my FAVORITE yoga asanas (postures)!!!! This will be a fun class centered around all the poses that have meant something to me through my years of practice. If you haven’t heard my story about yoga in my life, check out the “About” section on my website here, which also contains a Soundcloud Podcast recorded a few years ago. Basically, yoga has always felt like “Home” to me. That is the best way in which I know to describe my experience with my yoga practice. Yoga, in essence, returns me to that place of balance within, allowing me to feel completely “me!”

Sign up for Yoga class from 7am to 8am on Saturday, November 4th, and/or Saturday November 18th through the Button below. Class fee is $15, bring your own mat and I will provide any necessary props!

Also in Yoga news, I have a Yin Yoga/Yoga Nidra Special event from 2:00pm to 4:30pm on Saturday, November 18th!!!!

AYURVEDA & MASSAGE!!

What could be better and more nurturing than to combine Ayurveda and Massage?!!

Starting this month, I am excited to share that I am adding to my services a 30-minute Ayurvedic “consult” for existing massage clients! This will be an optional add-on to your massage/bodywork appointments. As an established bodywork client of mine, you can come prepared with a few simple diet and lifestyle questions that I am happy to answer through the lens of Ayurveda, further empowering you to maintain your health! This will be offered at an additional rate of $75. Simply add this to your appointment when you schedule online!

DO get your massages scheduled as my availability through the end of the year is already filling up!

Lastly, for those of you who pay online by credit card through my Square invoicing, you will see a change to your invoices. As of November, I am no longer allowed to charge a credit card fee, according to Square. I know, it’s quite unfair. Due to the large fees that I incur as a result of using Square, I am going to give you the option of paying cash, check, or through my Venmo account (choosing family/friend). For those who still need to pay by credit card, I will manually be entering the fee for your appointment which will include a 5% increase. This change will be in effect immediately. I apologize for this change, however, I simply cannot lose such a large about to service fees. It is a lot for those of us who are small business owners these days. Thank you for your understanding!
